Profession Investment Banker

Age 40

Passion Fitness and Travelling

Founded Get A Life Fitness brand for a cohesive purpose of spreading the awareness about wellness and with an ambition of getting fitness at people’s fingertips.

Turning point in life:: I started having interest in fitness since college time but that was largely to look good since I was very skinny then but the biggest turning point of taking it on seriously started when I lost my father in 2005 to ill health. I promised to myself that not only will I educate myself about healthy living but also share with in my humble capacity with family and friends. It was much later in 2015 when I was recovering from Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver due to improper lifestyle from 2012 to 2014 that I decided to make it a campaign.
Today at 40 I feel much fitter and healthier than when I was at May be 20.

Believing strongly in power of positivity, lots of fitness enthusiasts and wellness specialists decided to support me in my cause.

Get A Life…Fitness campaign now has global reach with members and panelist spanning UK, US, Singapore, Australia and India.

My Fitness Regime: I believe strongly in balanced training programme and hence include the following in my schedule

– Cycling
– Running (I am a half marathoner)

– Functional and Body weight training

– And very less yet importantly weights training.

I have recently introduced yoga in my schedule to ensure I don’t lose flexibility that’s very crucial to have a good athletic body.

Eating Pattern: Generally I keep a 8-9 hrs window in a day for eating as it is sufficient for me to accommodate 4-5 healthy and nutritious meals . So if start my first meal at 10 in Morning then I aim to have my last meal not later than 7 in evening. Yes I do have my cheat meals / days but they are far few and well managed so that I don’t waste my efforts and hard work.

Wellness Tips:

Start your day with warm water, don’t take added sugar in anything (It’s poison literally if we consider its chemical composition)- Stick to natural sources of sugar and last meal of the day should be not later than 7. Ideally no carbs after 5.

Workout Clue:
You will often find it difficult to have 1 full hour of workout at a stretch. So break your workouts into 10-15 minutes (4-5 times) in a day. There are many workouts and breathing exercises that are location agnostic and can be performed anywhere.

Secret Mantra: Don’t go berserk eating on weekend and holidays. Eat everything but smaller quantities!!??
