Evan what do you want to be when you grow up?- I asked my boy!

I want to be a pilot like daddy,

Want to fly like a bird,

I smiled at that time, keeping my thoughts to myself,

Such a daydreamer he is,

Wants to fly like a bird,

When will he come down to earth?!?

But he thinks he will grow up,

With his dreams trailing him high into the sky…

He will fly fighters for India,

So his country men won’t have to die..

They won’t call him Evan anymore, as he will get his new name,

Canopy will clamp shut and jet will roar,

He will check six and grip the stick..

Then he will look into the rear view mirror with his helmet visor to make it clear,

This fighter pilot will then think of that small dreamer boy,

Who always wanted to fly,

Since he was just five,

and that’s when i will say, I am so proud of you my boy!!
